Percussion drilling at Löparen outlines two gold anomalies in the search for the source of the gold-bearing boulders

Lappland Guldprospektering AB (publ) (the “Company”) announces the results from the completed percussion drilling programme at the exploration permit Löparen, west of Lycksele. The programme consisted of 70 percussion drill holes and was designed to identify the potential bedrock source of the gold-bearing glacial boulders documented in the area. Gold assay values are generally low across the surveyed area. However, two areas of elevated gold assay values have been identified, including one that had not previously been recognised. The Company plans to undertake a follow-up percussion drilling programme at closer drill spacing during the winter of 2026/2027 to further evaluate these anomalies.

Comment from the CEO

“The programme did exactly what we wanted it to do. We drilled on a wide-spaced, cost-effective grid across a large area to find where to look more closely, and we now have two leads to work from, one of which we did not previously know about. The next step is to drill more closely around them this winter.”

Fredrik Johansson, CEO, Lappland Guldprospektering AB (publ)

Results

The programme comprised 70 percussion drill holes drilled on an approximately 100 × 100 metre grid. Percussion drilling was used to identify indications of gold in the bedrock and to outline anomalous areas, not to determine grades. Gold assay values range from 0.0005 to 0.056 g/t Au and are generally low across the sampled area. Two areas of elevated gold assay values have been outlined, with arsenic concentrations showing an association with gold in the available dataset. Further work is required to assess the significance of this relationship.

The northern anomaly was not previously recognised and contains the highest single gold assay value from the programme, with 0.056 g/t Au reported from percussion drill hole Kax2611. The central anomaly is located near historical core drill holes that reported gold assay values. Additional exploration is required to evaluate the extent and significance of these anomalies.

The values refer to gold in crushed rock cuttings. The laboratory reports in ppm; 1 ppm corresponds to 1 gram of gold per tonne. Drill holes Kax2615 and Kax2631 each comprise three sub-samples. All 70 drill holes with coordinates are reported in Appendix 1.

Qualification

The reported results constitute Exploration Results only and do not represent a Mineral Resource. The identified anomalies have not been sufficiently delineated, and further exploration is required to assess whether they are indicative of a gold-bearing source.

Geological information

The information provided below is supplementary and is not required for an understanding of the Exploration Results reported above.

In percussion drilling, crushed rock is transported to the surface with compressed air, producing a composite sample of drill cuttings for each drill point. It is a rapid and cost-effective method for the broad-scale evaluation of large areas and for identifying anomalous zones to prioritise for follow-up core drilling. At Löparen, 70 percussion holes were drilled on a grid of approximately 100 by 100 metres.

The programme is motivated by an accumulation of 91 gold-bearing glacial boulders around Vormträsk, between Lycksele and Norsjö, ranging from 0.003 up to 26.9 grams of gold per tonne, with the 15 richest boulders exceeding 10 g/t Au. The source in the bedrock has not been located. A core drilling programme in the 1980s reported a three-metre section with an average grade of 6 grams of gold per tonne. The historic results have not been verified by the Company’s Competent Person, and the central anomaly is located close to these historic drill holes. The Company plans to follow up the anomalies with closer-spaced percussion drilling on grids of 50 by 50 metres and 25 by 25 metres in the winter of 2026/2027. Should the results indicate the presence of a gold-bearing source, a focused diamond core drilling programme is planned to investigate the target further.

About the Company:

Lappland Guldprospektering AB (publ) is a Swedish exploration company focused on gold in Sweden. The Company’s main project is Stortjärnhobben in southern Lapland, where an Inferred Mineral Resource of 4.6 tonnes of gold has been classified in accordance with PERC¹. In addition to Stortjärnhobben, the Company holds seven exploration permits for gold and two for copper, zinc and silver. The Company is listed on the Spotlight Stock Market under the ticker LGOLD B, with its registered office in Stockholm and its head office in Skellefteå.
